Raphael Munene chairs the 10-member committee of the Poverty Alleviation Program (PAP). He brings a solid and successful track record of senior leadership experience in the development and humanitarian sectors. He has served on advisory boards at The Youth Cafe, and the Global Fund for Jesus. He volunteered for multiple charitable causes in Kenya for over a decade. Additionally, he has worked in the private sector, and for not-for-profit organisations in Eastern Africa.
He grew up in a rural Kenyan setup and is inspired by the team’s mission to transform their lives, families, and community. He strongly believes that his primary role as the team leader is to inspire, support, and serve the committee and volunteers, as together they execute the mission with excellence.
Raphael's career path and leadership style are influenced by his compassion for humanity. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics and Resource Management, and a Master of Management and Leadership. He has multiple professional certifications, and has published peer-reviewed journals.
